Plastering, skimming and drywall in Cheltenham
Decorating is only as good as the wall underneath. We repair and skim damaged plaster and build plasterboard walls, ceilings and alcoves, then decorate them ourselves so there is one team from start to finish.
What’s included
- Skimming walls and ceilings
- Patch repairs after electrical or plumbing work
- Stud partition walls in plasterboard
- Boxing in pipes and building alcoves and shelving niches
- Suspended and plasterboard ceilings
- Mist coat and full decoration afterwards
One team from bare wall to finished room
When the plasterer and decorator are different trades, small problems often fall between them. Because we do both, we plaster with the final finish in mind and take responsibility for the result. It also means fewer people to coordinate and less waiting between stages.
One of our clients described the result of a bedroom where we stripped, replastered and painted as done to a high standard in a timely manner.
Plasterboard builds
We build stud partitions to divide rooms, box in pipework, create alcoves and shelving niches and put up plasterboard ceilings. Joints are taped and finished ready for decoration, so the new walls blend in with the rest of the room.

FAQ
Plastering & drywall: common questions
How long should new plaster dry before painting?
It depends on thickness, temperature and ventilation, but new skim usually needs several days to dry fully. It should look evenly pale with no dark patches before the mist coat goes on.
Can you repair just one damaged area?
Yes. We patch and blend smaller areas, for example after a new socket or pipe has been fitted, and repaint the wall so the repair does not show.
Do you build partition walls?
Yes, we build timber or metal stud partitions with plasterboard, taped and finished ready for decoration.
